Microsoft Launches Azure Logic Apps Automation with Built-in AI Agents and Zero-Infra RAG

At Build 2026, Microsoft introduced Azure Logic Apps Automation, a new managed SaaS SKU designed to let business teams build production-grade automations without dedicated integration developers. The platform offers isolated compute, built-in security and governance, three AI agent integration patterns, and Knowledge as a Service—a fully managed RAG pipeline requiring zero infrastructure. It also includes the generally available Logic Apps MCP Server for exposing workflows as AI-callable tools, and Codeful Workflows for code-first development. The service is available in public preview at auto.azure.com.
