Google to pay SpaceX $920M monthly for xAI data center GPU capacity
SpaceX will provide Google with about 110,000 GPUs and related hardware at its xAI data centers for $920 million per month over 32 months, starting in October. Google Cloud says the deal provides critical bridge capacity for surging demand from its Gemini Enterprise AI platform. The agreement comes just before SpaceX’s planned IPO and follows a similar Anthropic deal, as Elon Musk’s company races to monetize massive AI infrastructure originally built for its Grok models while competing directly with Google in AI and connectivity.
