Rocicorp's Zero Sync Engine Hits 1.0 Stable Release

Rocicorp has released Zero 1.0, the first stable version of its web sync engine after nearly two years of development. The system pairs a client-side library with a zero-cache service that maintains a read-only Postgres replica, letting apps query local data instantly while authoritative results sync in the background. The symbolic 1.0 bump carries no breaking changes but adds a Supabase schema change hook and several bugfixes. While praised for developer experience, the engine currently supports only Postgres, lacks server-side rendering, and faces competition from ElectricSQL, InstantDB, and Convex.
