Rust tells LLM contributors: we'd rather hear from the human, thanks

Five teams in the Rust project adopted a policy governing how LLMs can be used when contributing to the rust-lang/rust monorepo. The policy is not a blanket ban or endorsement, but a pragmatic set of rules addressing three real problems: polished PRs no longer indicate genuine effort or understanding, LLM-generated code floods an already overburdened review pipeline, and mechanically pasting LLM output into discussions wastes reviewers' time and breaks trust. The policy formalizes previously informal moderation practices so contributors know the rules upfront and reviewers can enforce them consistently.
