JDK 27 Enters Rampdown, JDK 28 Expert Group Announced, Plus GlassFish and Kotlin Updates
JDK 27 has entered Rampdown Phase One, freezing its feature set at nine JEPs including G1 by default, post-quantum TLS, structured concurrency, and vector API ahead of a March 2026 GA. Meanwhile, the four-member JDK 28 expert group was formally announced under JSR 403 with early-access builds now available. The roundup also covers GlassFish 8.0.3 and its new Arquillian pool for faster Jakarta EE TCK testing, plus point releases for Infinispan and Kotlin, and maintenance updates for Micronaut and Open Liberty.
